UMD Physics Outreach opens 2023 with a hot (and cold) time in the old town this month!
- The evenings of February 3rd & 4th, we present Physics is Phun: A Show of Ice & Fire, a high school level program. Details and registration at https://umdphysics.umd.edu/events/aboutus-outreach/physics-is-phun.html
- The morning of February 25th, we present a Physics Discovery Day: Hot & Cold, an upper elementary & middle school level program. Details and registration at https://umdphysics.umd.edu/events/aboutus-outreach/discovery-days.html
Demonstrations include infrared radiaion, liquid nitrogen, combustion, convection, and therman expansion and contraction. A great way to warm up on a chilly weekend!
