STEM News Tip: KiNET-X Experiment Launches from Wallops Tonight

NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia off the Eastern Shore will, weather permitting, be launching a rocket this evening just after 8:00PM. This will carry the KiNET-X experiment, which will release vapor clouds to analyze energy and momentum transfer in nearby space. This will help better understand the behaviour of plasmas in Earth's magnetosphere.

The rocket and the vapor trails may be visible to the east of our campus in the evening sky. Keep an eye out! Or follow along online at the links below.
