STEM News Tip: Phosphine and Venus Update: The Research Goes On

Venus Real Color Image - NASA public domain

Last fall, we brought you a news tip on a breaking story, as results from observations of Venus detected phosphine in the upper atmosphere. Multiple research groups have analyzed the data, and the question is still open. This is how science works at its best - everyone examines the data and brings their own viewpoint to it, and together we arrive at a better understanding of the universe.

The latest news is summarized in an article by Katherine Wright in the APS online magazine Physics. Check out the article to see what’s happening in this breaking story!
