• Description: This five-foot diameter, 132cm (252-inch) radius of curvature parabolic mirror was originally designed as a solar collector on a satellite. Both convex and concave sides can be used with large classes or individually.

  Students can stand in front of the concave side at different distances to find the focal point. Invite students to predict the orientation of the image they see at different points, then try it out.
