Description:
Water filling the graduated cylinder is poured into the apparently smaller spherical flask.
While the spherical flask may appear to students to be much smaller than the tall cylinder, this enables them to see that it actually has the same volume.
Invite students to make a prediction about how much of the cylinder will fit in the sphere, or how much it will overflow, before performing the experiment.
