Purpose: Determine how resistance varies as a function of diameter and length for the same material.
Description: The resistance of two wires of the same length but different diameter can be compared. The resistance as a function of length can be determined by sliding the clips along the wire. Use of high-resistance nichrome wire keeps stray resistance (in contacts, etc.) small compared with the resistance being measured.
