Purpose: Demonstrate electrostatic force.
Description: A pendulum isolated by a wooden vertical support is placed on top of a Van de Graaff. The pendulum bob becomes charged, experiences a repulsive force from the dome, and moves about erratically. Try other lengths to get different motion.
