Description: (The following is a description from the owner's manual.) "PEST FREE" is a completely solid state device that emits high intensity ultrasonic sound waves at the frequencies on which most common pests communicate. This device automatically changes the frequency 60 times per second, assuring complete coverage of all the communication frequencies of most common pests. The ultrasound acts directly on the auditory and nervous systems of the pests, causing severe pain and discomfort. As a result, the pests vacate the premises to escape the intolerable and painful sound. The ultrasound is above the range of humans, dogs, cats, and birds, and will not affect plants, TV's, radios, or other electric or electronic devices such as pacemakers or hearing aids.
