Purpose: Illustrate how a magnetic stirrer works.
Description: A magnetic stirrer has a small rotating magnet under the top plate. When the magnet rotates, another magnet placed in the material to be stirred rotates and stirs that material. The outer case has been removed so that the mechanism can be seen. An aluminum plate positioned on top of the device will rotate due to eddy currents.
